The Steve Jobs biopic from Sony is continuing its trek in casting, with a new report pointing to the Steve Wozniak role being filled by a familiar, comedic face.
According to a report published by Variety on Thursday, October 30, Seth Rogen (22 Jump Street, This Is the End} will star as Steve Wozniak within the biopic. Rogen will be able to converse with Wozniak while on the set, as Wozniak is working as a consultant on the film as it progresses.
Before the confirmation of Rogen in the film, it was reported in early October that Leonardo DiCaprio had decided to opt out of the leading role of Steve Jobs, and that director Danny Boyle (28 Days Later, Slumdog Millionaire) had been picked to direct the biopic. On October 23, it was confirmed that the oft-rumored Christian Bale had been chosen to take the lead role of Steve Jobs.
The film will be set within major milestones of Jobs’ life, and will follow the written biography of Jobs scribed by Walter Isaacson. The biopic was written by Aaron Sorkin.
