The Pangu jailbreak for iOS 8.0.x – iOS 8.1 is finally out! As promised, Pangu team has just released Pangu8 for Mac.
When the Pangu team released Pangu8 to jailbreak iOS 8.1 – iOS 8 couple of weeks back, it was available only for Windows users. Mac users had to run Windows in a virtual machine to be able jailbreak their device.
So if you’ve been waiting for the Pangu jailbreak for Mac, then you can download it from our download page.
The Pangu8 jailbreak for Mac like the Windows version is compatible with all iOS 8 – iOS 8.1 compatible devices such as:
- iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5 and iPhone 4s
- iPad Air 2, iPad Air, iPad 4, iPad 3 and iPad 2
- iPad mini 3, iPad mini 2, 1st gen iPad mini
- 5th generation iPod touch
We assume that Pangu8 v1.0.0 for Mac includes all the bug fixes and improvements that were released recently, and the latest version of Cydia (Cydia v1.1.16). Couple of days back, saurik, founder of Cydia had confirmed that the iOS 8-iOS 8.1 jailbreak was now stable enough. With the imminent release of iOS 8.1.1 which kills Pangu8 jailbreak, it may be good idea to jailbreak your device or at least restore/update your device to iOS 8.1 if you want to jailbreak your device in the future.
Confirmed! Pangu8 v1.0.0 for Mac installs the latest version of Cydia (v1.1.6), so it should include all the bug fixes and improvements.
