Dashlane has become a popular subscription-based password management tool for both Macs and iPhones, and a new feature recently introduced should help keep its fan base pleased.
As reported initially by The Verge, Dashlane has unveiled a brand new feature within its password management tools, called “Password Changer.” The title of the new feature basically gives away its main reason for existing: changing passwords. This new feature actually allows users to change multiple passwords at once. One piece of advertising for the feature indicates a user can change 80 passwords at once, all with just a single click.
The new feature is only accessible with users that have two-factor authorization on their Dashlane accounts, and it’s capable of working with over 70 different websites across the web. The report indicates that this particular feature as made possible by Dashlane thanks to a recent purchase of PassOmatic, which is a startup based in New York that developed the technology to make this wide password change possible.
Unfortunately, while the new feature has officially been unveiled, it will only be beta tested for now with a small number of testers both on Mac and PC. The feature is said to be coming to mobile soon, but not definitive timeframe was provided.
Beyond this particular update, though, Dashlane is getting even more useful features, including the ability to set a shuffle through passwords at pre-set intervals. The main goal of these updates, according to the application’s developer, is to make sure that its users’ information is safe, and to give users peace of mind while using Dashlane.
For users on a single device, Dashlane is free. However, managing passwords on multiple devices ups the price to $39.99 per year. Links to both the Mac app and the iPhone app are listed below. Those who want to sign up for the beta can simply go through the source link just below.
