That was quick! TaiG has just a new version (v1.2.0) to jailbreak iOS 8.1.2.
As you know, Apple released iOS 8.1.2 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch few hours back, which includes bug fixes, and addresses a problem where ringtone purchased through iTunes Store may have been removed form your device.
There were concerns that Apple may have released iOS 8.1.2 to prevent users from jailbreaking. However, as we reported earlier, based on the initial analysis, it appeared that iOS 8.1.2 did not patch the kernel exploit used by TaiG to jailbreak iOS 8.1.1.
TaiG jailbreak supports following iOS 8.1.1-iOS 8.1.2 devices:
- iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S
- iPad Air 2, iPad Air, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2
- iPad mini 3, iPad mini 2, iPad mini
- iPod touch 5G
TaiG jailbreak is currently available only for Windows. For now, Mac users will have to run Windows in a virtual machine to use the TaiG jailbreak.
You can download the latest version from our TaiG jailbreak download page. If you haven’t jailbroken you device, then you can follow our step-by-step guide:
