Apple has given ABC an exclusive look inside the labs where it tests the Apple Watch in the video interview of Jeff Williams and Jay Blahnik.
The interview reveals that Apple employees, who volunteered to be a part of the program, used to secretly work out in high tech gear at a secret Apple lab for “nearly two years.” Their range of activities included exercises like rowing, running, kicker and more.
None of the employees knew what they were working on or for what they were doing these exercises.
The high-tech labs were also equipped with “climate chambers” where Apple tested the human body response to different temperatures and humidity levels.
In the interview, Jay Blahnik says that he thinks that Apple has already amassed “one of the world’s largest pieces of data on fitness,” and thinks that it is just the beginning” and that the “impact on health could be profound.”
