The Halo series has become one of the largest franchises in the world, and when Halo: Spartan Assault launched for Windows Phones, many iOS users were left wondering if the game would ever make its presence known on their platform of choice.
The wait is finally over, and it’s not just one game that’s making the jump to iOS, either. Microsoft has decided to not only bring Spartan Strike to iOS, but also Halo: Spartan Assault as well. Both titles are top-down shooters, both of which are meant to pit the player against an insurmountable Covenant force.
Spartan Strike, for those keeping tabs on storylines, is technically several different ONI simulations of the events that took place in Halo 2. Spartan Assault, on the other hand, takes place just before Halo 4, and has the player tasked with learning more about the Spartan Ops program.
Each game is available for $5.99 separately, or there is a bundle available for $9.99. Links to each are below. Both are universal apps, available for the iPhone and iPad.
