Now, according to a report published by BuzzFeed, that time is now. The publication has reported that Apple will activate the Apple Watch App Store beginning today, and that when it does, it will do so with several different categories getting the featured treatment so that people know which apps they should download on their new wearable.
The Apple Watch App Store is available through the “Apple Watch” companion app, which was made available on iPhones following the update to iOS 8.2. As of the time of this writing it appears that the App Store is still showing “coming soon,” but if the report pans out it should be changing at some point today.
The report shows that the different categories range from “news,” “health and fitness,” and “games.” Considering how many Watch apps we’ve seen lately, there is likely plenty to find for the new wearable owner. Indeed, a site recently published all of the approved apps for the Watch, which tallied more than 2,000 options.
