Best Cydia Tweaks of the Week [May 11 – May 17]

It’s that time of the week again where we take a look back over the past week and check out what’s worth downloading in Cydia. This week we have 4 tweaks and a theme. We’ll take a look at NoScrollWhenNewMessage, HUDTransparent8, NoBanner, TokeTime, and Syndrome. Let’s get started!

NoScrollWhenNewMessage – Free

This is a free tweak and I can’t think of a reason why someone would NOT want this tweak installed. If you’re in a lot of group conversations then you’ve probably got behind in messages at some point. So when you’re going through the past messages and someone messages you, it scrolls all the way to the bottom of the message. This tweak stops that from happening and it’s definitely worth checking out.

HUDTransparent8 – Free
HUDTransparent8

If you don’t already have a tweak that changes the appearance of the volume HUD then you probably want to give this a try. It makes the usual blurred background on the volume hud, nonexistent. It will only show you the glyphs from the hud and it makes it much less intrusive when watching videos.

NoBanner – $1.00

This tweak stops all incoming banner notifications while you’re watching a video. Banner notifications are pretty annoying when watching videos, especially if you get multiple messages in a row. This tweak solves that and you can even exclude apps if you’d like to receive banners in those specific apps.

TokeTime – Free
toketime

This is a tweak that willl show Snoop Dogg ¬†you at 4:20am/pm right there on your home screen. If you don’t understand why in the world you’d want Snoop Dogg on your lock screen at 4:20, then this tweak isn’t for you anyway.

Syndrome – $3.99

This last one isn’t a tweak, but a theme. I’m a fan of it, I think the dull, matte colors look really good with a dark background. The sounds for the keyboard are really nice too. You get extras like a battery theme, wifi/data themes, themed glyphs in the control center, custom loading screens and much more. If you’re looking for a new theme to try out, give this one a go.
