In less than one week, Apple Music will launch, and a brand new music streaming service will be released into the wild. Along with it, a brand new single from artist Pharrell Williams.
The popular artist has made the announcement that his upcoming single, Freedom, will be launching alongside Apple Music on June 30, and that it will be an exclusive with Apple’s music streaming service. Unfortunately, there’s no word on just how long the track will be available as an Apple Music exclusive, or if that means that Pharrell’s upcoming album will be an exclusive for Apple as well.

Freedom was actually played during the Apple Music announcement at this year’s Worldwide Developers Conference, and it can be heard in Apple’s promotional video for the upcoming service as well. With all that in mind, it’s perhaps unsurprising that the song would be a launch exclusive for Apple Music. Of course, for fans of Pharrell, it’s simply one more reason to try out Music — especially now that the three-month free trial period will mean artists get paid during that time.[via 9to5Mac; @Pharrell]
