For those running a Mac mini and who have had an issue with USB keyboards, Apple has released new software that should fix the issue.
On Wednesday, July 15, Apple released a new update for the Mac mini entitled “EFI Firmware Update v1.8,” which is meant to address issues with USB keyboards not being recognized after the mini awakens from sleep. This is meant primarily for the Mac mini released in late 2012:
“This update is recommended for Mac mini (late 2012) models. This update addresses an issue that may prevent a USB keyboard from being recognized after the system wakes from sleep.“
The file size measures in at 4.8MB and it’s available either through the Update Software option on your Mac mini, or through the Apple link below.
