Apple unveiled the 9th generation iPhones at the special event on September 9 alongside the new Apple TV and iPad Pro.
Apple also announced at the event that the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will go on sale on September 25, and customers can pre-order them beginning September 12.
In case you missed it, Apple will start taking pre-orders from 12:01 PT/3:01 AM ET just like previous years. U.S. Carriers like AT&T, Verizon and Sprint have already announced that they’ll start taking pre-orders from 12:01 PT tomorrow.
iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will be available for pre-order in Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Singapore, the UK and the US.
In the U.S, the new iPhones will be available for pre-order on Apple’s Online Store or the Apple Store app (iTunes link), Carriers’ website and Apple Authorized Resellers like Walmart, Best Buy, Target, RadioShack, Sam’s Club etc.
iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus come with 3D Touch, which adds a new dimension to iPhone’s multitouch interface. They also come with an 7000 series aluminum unibody chassis, ion-strengthened glass, the new 64-bit A9 chip, 12-megapixel iSight with 4K video recording capabilities and 5-megapixel FaceTime HD cameras, faster Touch ID, LTE and Wi-Fi. iPhone 6s Plus camera has optical image stabilization, which has been expanded to video.
16GB, 64GB and 128GB iPhone 6s will be available for $199, $299 and $399, and 16GB, 64GB and 128GB iPhone 6s Plus will be available for $299, $399 and $499 respectively with a two-year contract. Customers can also get the new iPhones for $0 down with 24 monthly payments starting at $27 and $31 respectively, from Apple’s retail stores in the US, Apple.com, select carriers and Apple Authorized Resellers.
Alternatively, customers can also get an unlocked iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus with the opportunity to get a new iPhone annually along with AppleCare+ on the new iPhone Upgrade program that is available exclusively at Apple’s retail stores in the US with monthly payments starting at $32 and $37 respectively.
