WordPress, the online publishing tool, has become a dominant force in online publications, and for Mac users there’s a new app to take note of.
On Monday, November 23, WordPress officially launched a brand new app for Mac, which should make it possible for those that want to shy away from using WordPRess in a browser, or those who simply prefer to do things in an app, to get it all done without many limitations. The app, according to 9to5Mac, is essentially the new WordPress.com in a wrapper, but that does not appear to have limited the app’s feature set.
All of the required and expected publishing tools are in place, along with a Reader Mode, notifications, access to the settings for each site, and site stats to keep track of the important parts. For those that have multiple sites, the new app makes switching between them, and publishing content to them, as easy as possible.
It’s an app that supports OS X El Capitan and the platforms features, including full-screen mode. The app all supports OS X notifications, key commands, and badges displayed on the app’s icon in the dock.
The Mac app from WordPress is available right now from WordPress’s website, and doesn’t appear to be available in the Mac App Store. A link to download the new Mac app is available below for those that want to try it out.
