SafariBeBetter fixes several Safari’s annoyances to improve browsing experience [Jailbreak Tweak]

Most of us use Safari on a daily basis to surf the internet. A new iOS 9 jailbreak tweak known as SafariBeBetter developed by VladMax aims to improve your browsing experience by fixing several annoyances in Safari.

The tweak brings three enhancements to Safari including auto-hiding bookmarks, viewing the complete URL and disabling auto-hiding of address bar and toolbar.

When “Auto-hide bookmarks” is enabled, the bookmark panel in Safari will be automatically hidden when you tap on it. This will work only if your iPhone is in landscape mode as the bookmarks panel will be displayed on the left side of the screen.

You can also choose to view the complete URL of web pages in the address bar. Normally, a shortened version of the URL is displayed in the address bar which contains the domain of the website, but with SafariBeBetter tweak, you can view the entire address, which saves you a tap if you want to check the complete URL of the web page.

You may have noticed that Safari hides the address bar and toolbar automatically when viewing a web page. There are times when I find it quite annoying. With SafariBeBetter, you can disable this so that the address bar and toolbar will always remain visible.

You can access and configure all these options via the dedicated preferences pane in Settings. You’re not required to respring your device after every change as they will take effect right away.

SafariBeBetter is available as a free package on Cydia’s BigBoss repo and is worth a try. Sound off in the comments section below with your opinions on the new tweak.
