Apple’s new iOS 9.3 beta, which was rolled out to registered developers on Monday, brings a whole bunch of new 3D Touch shortcuts for iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. Supported apps now include Settings, Weather, Health, Stocks, and more.
These are the apps that now offer 3D Touch shortcuts, and the features you can access by using them:
- Update all
- Start compass
- Start level
- Show Dashboard
- Show Medical ID
- Set wallpaper
- Forecast for current location
- Forecast for favorite locations
*The App Store had two 3D Touch shortcuts before — Search and Redeem — but the other two are new to iOS 9.3.
Some of these 3D Touch shortcuts, particularly those for the Settings app, will be incredibly helpful to a lot of users. You’ll need one of Apple’s latest iPhone to access them, though, of course — then you simply press (not tap) the icons on your home screen.
There’s no word on when iOS 9.3 will be available to all yet, but as this is the first beta, it’s likely we’ll be waiting at least a couple of months.
