Apple has refreshed its Apple Maps data today to add Flyover locations for key landmarks in countries like France, South Africa, Italy, Japan, Australia, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, the UK, and the United States.

In addition to support for Flyover locations in 20 new locations, Apple Maps now displays traffic information in Taiwan, with Nearby feature now also being available for iOS 9 users in Finland.

Flyover in Apple Maps allows users to get a 3D view of key landmarks and locations across the world. You can freely zoom in, pan around and rotate the 3D image being displayed in supported Flyover locations to get a detailed look at the object or landmark.

The list of new places that now support Flyover in Apple Maps include:

  • Adelaide, Australia
  • Amiens, France
  • La Rochelle, France
  • Nantes, France
  • Toulouse, France
  • Berne, Switzerland
  • Bremen, Germany
  • Columbus, Ohio
  • Louisville, Kentucky
  • South Bend, Indiana

  • Dresden, Germany
  • Eindhoven, Netherlands
  • Johannesburg, South Africa
  • Middlesbrough, UK
  • Salzburg, Austria

Apple has been adding support for new locations in Flyover in Apple Maps almost every month. Last month, the company added traffic data support for Hong Kong and Mexico in Apple Maps and added Flyover support for four cities around the world.
