Sonos has just announced that it will be rolling out an update which will add Apple Music support to their Sonos wireless speakers tomorrow, February 10th.
Apple Music users will be able to stream their entire Apple Music catalog through Sonos wireless speakers, and get access to Apple Music features like For You, New, Radio, and My Music.
Sonos had launched the beta program for Apple Music on December 15th. Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services, said that the feedback from Apple Music members on Sonos was great during the beta testing period.
“The feedback from Apple Music members on Sonos during the beta period has been great,” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services. “Sonos plus Apple Music provides an amazing listening experience at home – and we’re excited to offer it to all Sonos customers starting tomorrow.”
To stream Apple Music on Sonos, customers simply have to select “Add Music Services” from the Sonos controller app for iOS, scroll down to the Apple Music icon, and login. I use Spotify, and the ability to stream music wirelessly to Sonos players from services like Spotify is one of my favorite features. So I am sure you’re going to love it if you have Sonos speakers and have subscribed to Apple Music.
Let us know how it goes in the comments.
