Assassin’s Creed Identity, the latest title from Ubisoft, is now available on iPhone and iPad. The title brings the popular role-playing gameplay you’re used to from the Assassin’s Creed franchise to iOS, with story missions and quests set during the Italian Renaissance.
Believe it or not, Identity has been around since September 2014 when it made its initial debut in Australia and New Zealand, but it disappeared just a month later. Back then, it was a free-to-play title that featured quick missions that were very barebones. Now that’s all changed.
Identity, now priced at $4.99, is the first on iOS to deliver the open world gameplay that fans of the Assassin’s Creed series are familiar with. It’s built around exactly the same mechanics found on console and PC, and set in the stunning Italian Renaissance.
Players can now enjoy proper missions in places like the Colosseum, Roma, Firenze, and more, with four classes to choose from, and the ability to pick outfits and weapons. Here’s the official launch trailer, which offers a glimpse at just how pretty it is:
