Apple today expanded the Flyover feature in Apple Maps to 23 new locations across the world, including the United States, Australia, Belgium, France and the United Kingdom.

Flyover allows Apple Maps users to get a almost lifelike 3D view of popular landmarks and locations across the world. They can also pan in/out, rotate and zoom to get a very close look at the supported locations in Flyover.

The list of 23 new additions to Apple Maps today are as follows:

  • A Coruña, Spain
  • Ajaccio, France
  • Archon, France
  • Bastia, France
  • Besançon, France
  • Blackpool, England
  • Bonifacio, France
  • Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
  • Calvi, France
  • Corte, France
  • Ghent, Belgium
  • Guaymas, Mexico
  • Messina, Italy
  • Mobile, AL, United States
  • Newcastle, Australia
  • Nottingham, England
  • Porto-Vecchio, France
  • Propriano, France
  • Raleigh, NC, United States
  • Salamanca, Spain
  • San Sebastián, Spain
  • Taichung, Taiwan
  • Wichita, KS, United States

Additionally, Apple Maps will now also display traffic data in Malaysia and Singapore.

While Apple Maps still does not hold a candle against Google Maps, Apple has been steadily working on improving its mapping service. With iOS 9, the company added a bunch of new features to Apple Maps, and it is widely expected to add a Street View like functionality to the service with iOS 10 later this year.
