Apple launches Lightning to USB-C cable, starts at $25 for faster 12.9-inch iPad Pro charging

Apple USB-C cable

Today, Apple launched a brand new iPad Pro with a 9.7-inch display. For folks with the larger variant, though, faster charging is coming your way.

Apple has officially made available a Lightning to USB-C cable, both in 1 meter and 2 meter options, that will allow owners of the 12.9-inch iPad Pro to access faster charging through Apple’s 29W USB-C Power Adapter, which is also on sale as a separate option. (The adapter is also bundled with the 12-inch MacBook.)

The 1 meter Lightning to USB-C cable is available now for $25, while the 2 meter option retails for $35. The cables will technically work with the 9.7-inch iPad Pro as well, but faster charging through USB 3.0 is only available with the 12.9-inch variant. (The 9.7-inch iPad Pro offers USB 2.0.)

Do you plan on picking up the cable to charge your large iPad Pro faster?
