Apple is continuing its pro-environment push by offering iOS users three exclusive wallpapers with an environmental theme. The images come days after its big keynote, during which it updated us on its environment plans and introduced us to Liam, its iPhone recycling robot.
Apple’s wallpapers are meant for those who recycle old iOS devices at an Apple Store. According to 9to5Mac, customers are given a card which directs them to its “Thank you for recycling with Apple Renew” webpage (apple.com/thanks), where the images can be downloaded.
The three wallpapers were designed by renowned graphic artist Anthony Burrill, and “each one is inspired by nature and people coming together to help the planet,” Apple says. You can download them by following the link above on your iOS device.
Alternatively, you can download them on desktop and send them to your device using AirDrop, iCloud, email, or whichever method you prefer. Apple makes them available in three different sizes for iPad, the 4-inch iPhone, and its larger iPhones.
“Your device will be recycled responsibly or given a chance to be used again, which will help keep electronic waste out of landfills,” Apple’s page explains. For more information on its recycling plans, visit the Environmental Responsibility page.
