Sony today announced that it is starting the beta test of the next major firmware update (v3.50) for the PlayStation 4 from tomorrow. Among other changes, the highlight of the update is that it brings Remote Play feature to Windows and Mac.
This will allow PS4 owners to stream and play their favorite games on their Mac (or Windows). Disappointingly, this feature will not be available in the beta firmware that will be made available to users who pre-registered to test it from tomorrow.
Other features that will be available in the firmware include the ability to appear offline to your friends, receive notifications when your friends come online, view videos on Dailymotion, Play Together and more.
Sony did not reveal in its announcement as to when it plans to rollout the final version of the v3.50 firmware to all PS4 users.
