Apple has seeded the next beta of watchOS 2.2.1 to developers.
Apple has officially seeded the second developer beta of watchOS 2.2.1. This release arrives two weeks after Apple seeded the first beta to developers for testing purposes. As is par for the course for pre-release watchOS software, there isn’t a public beta available to those testers.
The beta software is available through the specific Watch app. Those interested in accessing the test software can find it by going into General –> Software Update within the Watch app. To install the new software, though, the Apple Watch must have 50 percent battery life, at least, it must be on the Apple Watch’s charger, and it has to be within range of the connected iPhone.
The release notes for the new software say that watchOS 2.2.2 is dedicated to behind-the-scenes fixes and improvements, but if anything else is discovered in the new software we’ll update this post.
