Can’t find popular apps in the App Store? You’re not the only one. Widespread search issues are currently preventing a large number of titles from showing up in search results for many users around the world.
The problem is affecting some incredibly popular apps, including those from Google, Spotify, and Tumblr — as well as games like Candy Crush Saga, according to MacRumors. It is being experiences on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and elsewhere.
Apple’s System Status page tells us that all is working as normal right now, so the company clearly hasn’t picked up on the issue just yet. However, given that so many users are affected, it shouldn’t be too long before the problem is identified and fixed.
Apple has updated the System Status page to acknowledge the issue. Apple says “Users are experiencing a problem with the App Store. We are investigating and will update the status as more information becomes available.” The issue seems to be affecting all users.
Apple has updated the System Status page to confirm that the issue has been resolved just after 8:00 am PST. We can also confirm that the search functionality on the App Store is working fine now.
Let us know if you’re facing the issue. We’ll keep you updated as we hear more.
