The company has officially seeded the first developer beta for tvOS 9.2.2. This new software arrives one week after Apple officially released tvOS 9.2.1 to set-top boxes all around the globe. That update included behind-the-scenes tweaks and improvements, and it’s likely that this new software is focusing on those aspects as well.
For developers that want to install the new beta, the fourth-generation Apple TV must be plugged into a computer with a USB-C to USB-A cable. Once the set-top box is connected to the computer, the beta software must be downloaded from iTunes and installed on the device directly.
If there are any forward facing updates discovered with the new beta, we’ll update this post accordingly.
