Apple has released the newest version of watchOS for Apple Watch owners.
Apple released watchOS 2.2 to the public at the tail-end of March, and now, almost two months later, the company has released a minor update, version 2.2.1, to the public. Apple had seeded several different beta versions of watchOS 2.2.1 before its public release today. The new software is meant to focus on behind-the-scenes tweaks and enhancements, with plenty of bug fixes in tow as well.
To install the new software on your Apple Watch, you’ll need to open the dedicated Watch app on your iPhone, then head into General and then Software Update. To install the new software on your wearable you’ll need to make sure the Apple Watch has at least 50 percent battery and is placed on the charger. It will need to be within range of the connected iPhone as well.
