Apple’s in hot water when it comes to the technologies used for the battery in the iPhone 6s right now, but rumor has it the iPhone 7 battery will be bigger than this year’s model.

According to a new rumor, and reported by @OnLeaks, states that the iPhone 7 battery will be measured in at 1960mAh, which means it’s about 14 percent larger than the battery found in the iPhone 6s. Specifically, the iPhone 6s features a 1715mAh battery, and, just to go even further back, the iPhone 6 had a battery measured in at 1810mAh.

As it stands right now, this isn’t the first time that we’ve heard a rumor about the battery in the iPhone 7. Back in May a rumor from Weibo suggested the iPhone 7 would actually feature a 1735mAh battery, so lower than this rumor suggests. That first rumor also said the iPhone 7 Plus battery would be measured in at 2810mAh, but this new rumor doesn’t have any details regarding the iPhone 7 Plus.

The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are expected to debut this September, so we don’t have long to wait before Apple officially announces the new devices.

Are you hoping for bigger batteries?
