A day after we got our clearest look at the rear shell of the iPhone 7, the rear shell of the iPhone 7 Plus has also leaked. The photo of the larger of the upcoming iPhone confirms what have been said in previous reports: the presence of a dual camera set up at the rear and repositioned antenna lines.
Interestingly, the picture also shows the iPhone 7 Plus featuring Smart Connector at its bottom. While we have previously heard reports about the iPhone 7 Plus coming with a Smart Connector, they were dubious at best. However, since these images come from a credible source, it looks like Apple is indeed set to include the Smart Connector on the larger iPhone this year.
Another interesting revelation made by the leaked photos from today is the absence of the mute switch on both handsets. There have been no rumors about Apple removing the mute/silent switch from the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, and considering how useful they are, this might turn out to be a very surprising omission from the company.
Considering the leaked photos from today and yesterday come from a very credible source of Nowhereelse, there is little reason to doubt their credibility.
The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are expected to sport modest changes over their predecessors. While the design of the handsets will remain largely the same, the upcoming iPhones will feature water-resistance. The handsets are also expected to feature a vastly better camera, with the larger iPhone 7 Plus coming with a dual-lens camera setup at the rear for improved low-light performance.
