Apple has confirmed official pricing for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in India after slashing prices of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. Its latest model starts at Rs 60,000, while last year’s, which now comes with a minimum of 32GB of storage, now starts at just Rs 50,000.
The iPhone 7 series costs Rs 60,000, Rs 70,000, and Rs 80,000 for the 32GB, 128GB, and 256GB models respectively. The iPhone 7 Plus series costs Rs. 72,000, Rs 82,000, and Rs 92,000 for the same storage options.
The iPhone 6s now starts at Rs 50,000 with 32GB of storage, while a 128GB model is priced at Rs 60,000. The iPhone 6s Plus is priced at Rs 60,000 with 32GB of storage, and Rs 70,000 with 128GB of storage. There are no 16GB, 64GB, or 256GB options in the lineup.
When the iPhone 6s made its debut in India last October, a 16GB model was priced at Rs 62,000, while a 16GB iPhone 6s Plus was Rs 72,000. This shows just how much Apple’s prices have fallen in the country since then.
Pricing for the iPhone SE has also changed in India. A 16GB model now starts at Rs 39,000, while the 64GB model is now priced at Rs 44,000.
Apple will launch the new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in India on October 7. The company is yet to announce any official preorder program, but some third-party resellers, such as iWorld, have already started taking pre-bookings for the device.
