Besides unveiling the iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, and the Apple Watch 2 at its ‘See You on the 7th Event’, Apple also announced the final release date of iOS 10. The company will be releasing the final version of iOS 10 to the public on September 13th.
This is three days ahead of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus hitting the retail stores in major markets.
iOS 10 comes with some major new UI refinements and features. This includes a redesigned lock screen with features like Raise to Wake, Interactive Notifications, Widgets, and more. It also features better 3D Touch integration across the OS. The Control center has also received a slight upgrade and features larger icons, with the music widget getting a separate panel. The Music app is also receiving a major update as a part of iOS 10 to make using Apple Music easier.
The Messages app has also received a major overhaul in iOS 10 and will now come with its own App Store.
