Pokémon GO is already a popular title, being downloaded more than 500 million times around the world.
But now Niantic Labs is announcing that the game is coming to the Apple Watch. It is designed to seamlessly blend the game with your daily walk or run, while focusing on “cool things around you.” Niantic showed off the game for the Watch on stage, including a Complication on the Apple Watch that shows steps needed to hatch an egg.
Walking is recorded as a workout, so that will fill up the Activity ring. There’s a nearby feature that will show which Pocket Monsters are nearby. You’ll need to take out your iPhone to catch a Pokémon. And walking near a Poké Stop will send a vibrate to the Watch.
It ships before the end of the year.
