Apple’s latest MacBook Pro models feature four USB Type-C ports, so for many customers out there an adapter might be necessary.
Now that the new MacBooks are officially official, and shipping starts soon for the two higher-end models, Apple has also launched an important adapter for the new machines. It’s a Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 adapter, which means customers that have accessories that use Thunderbolt 2 can plug them into the 2016 MacBook Pro.
It costs $49.
The adapter works both ways, meaning that it can connect Thunderbolt 3 accessories to a Mac that has Thunderbolt or Thunderbolt 2 ports.
Delivery is available starting today, and the fastest shipping option will see the adapter arrive between November 4 and November 8. The free shipping options sees the adapter arrive between November 7 and November 9.
