Apple has seeded another beta version of its upcoming update to iOS.
Apple has officially seeded the second beta release of iOS 10.2 to developers. Apple seeded the first developer beta of iOS 10.2 at the tail-end of October. It’s likely that the new beta seeds will release on a regular basis from this point on.
As for what’s new in the latest iteration of Apple’s mobile OS, that remains to be seen. For devices already part of the developer program, the new software is available as an over-the-air update.
Here’s everything that’s new in iOS 10.2, and a brief list below.
What’s New (so far) in Beta 2:
- SOS: There’s a new SOS feature that is activated when the Power button on the iPhone is pressed quickly five times. According to Apple, the system works in the United States, the United Kingdom, India, France, Hong Kong, Japan, Italy, India, Belgium, Australia, Brazil, France, Canada, China, Russia, and Spain.
- TV app: The new TV app, for the single universal TV guide, is now available in iOS 10.2.
- Apple Music: While listening to music, the Shuffle and Repeat buttons are a bit bigger, making it easier to see and activate.
