Back at the beginning of November, Apple officially launched a dedicated support app in the Netherlands and a few other select countries.
At the time there wasn’t any additional information as to when the app would arrive in other regions, but for folks in the United States the wait is over. Apple has now made its official support app available for customers in the U.S.
With it, they will be able to schedule repair appointments — something that was actually removed from the stock Apple Store app not too long ago. The app will also make it possible for customers to look through available AppleCare services.
Apple describes the app as such:
“Need help? Apple Support app is your personalized guide to the best options from Apple. Find answers with articles tailored to your products and questions. Call, chat or email with an expert right away, or schedule a callback when it’s convenient. Get a repair at an Apple Store or a nearby Apple Authorized Service Provider. Apple Support is here to help.”
As should be expected, the official support app also links to the user’s Apple ID, so it will be aware of any devices that might need repair, as well as simply keep tabs on the devices you’ve registered with your Apple ID.
The app is free, and a link to download it is available below.
