Colorize Your Status Bar Icons with a New Jailbreak Tweak Called Aerial

Surenix is well known in the jailbreak community for his design skills and contribution to popular tweaks such as Auxo. In collaboration with another Cydia developer, he has now released a new tweak called Aerial that brings your Status bar to life.

Normally, the icons in the Status bar are colored black on a light interface, and white on a dark interface. With Aerial, you can add a splash of color to your Status bar by colorizing the icons. The tweak allows you to apply a custom color to each of the Status bar icons and make them stand out.

The icons are colored only when you’re within an app. This means that when you are on the Home screen, Lock screen or Notification Center, the icons will carry the default white or black color.

Aerial adds a preference pane to Settings where you can enable or disable it on demand and customize the color of the Status bar icons. It supports more than 20 different Status bar icons and offers 11 different types of colors.

The thing that I appreciate the most about this tweak is that when you change the color of an icon, it appears right away in Status bar rather than requiring a respring. This allows you to quickly visualize the changes and choose a color combination that matches your taste.

Aerial is quite an interesting tweak that adds a fresh coat of paint to your Status bar to make it aesthetically pleasing. If you’re into customization then you’ll love what this tweak has to offer.

Aerial is available for $1.99 in Cydia’s BigBoss repository and supports iOS 10. Make sure to let us know what you think about it once you give it a try.
