2018 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport to Feature Apple CarPlay

Way back in November of 2015, Mitsubishi announced the 2017 Mirage, which would be the auto manufacturer’s first vehicle in the United States to support Apple CarPlay.

Now, more than a year later, here we are with a 2018 model that will have Apple’s in-car system ready to go right off the assembly line. Mitsubishi has officially announced the 2018 Outlander Sport, which will feature a 7-inch display in the vehicle’s dash, which will allow for interaction with CarPlay.

The vehicle will also support Google’s Android Auto. Unfortunately, Mitsubishi is keeping other details regarding the vehicle quiet at the moment, until the company can unveil the Outlander Sport at the New York International Auto Show. The vehicle will launch this fall, though, and there will be a Touring edition made available around the same time, which will include additional options.
