Alleged photos of the mold of the iPhone 8, iPhone 7s, and iPhone 7s Plus have been leaked on the internet via Weibo. The authenticity of the molds in the photo cannot be verified but they do match up to the rumors that we have heard about the three new iPhones launching later this year from Apple.
If the molds are anything to go by, the iPhone 8 will be slightly larger than the iPhone 7s and substantially smaller than the iPhone 7s Plus, and this is despite the phone coming with a bigger 5.8-inch OLED screen. This is being made possible by the bezel-less design that the iPhone 8 will sport.
The molds also indicate tat only the iPhone 8 will feature a vertical dual-camera setup at its rear, with the iPhone 7s Plus featuring the same horizontal layout as found on the ongoing model.
The molds don’t reveal anything else apart from giving us an idea about their dimensions.
Apple is expected to unveil three new iPhones this year: the iPhone 7s, iPhone 7s Plus, and the iPhone 8. The 7s and 7s Plus will be the successor to the ongoing iPhone 7 and 7 Plus models, while the iPhone 8 will a more premium new variant from the Cupertino company. It will feature a 5.8-inch OLED display, an embedded Touch ID scanner into the display, wireless charging, and a revolutionary 3D selfie camera. The addition of these features, however, will push the price of the handset to above $1,000.
