T-Mobile’s New Promo Will Pay for Your iPhone When Switching from Verizon

T-Mobile is offering an attractive new promotion in an attempt to poach Verizon customers. If a VZW customer is willing to switch over to T-Mobile, the customers get to keep their iPhone that they bring from Verizon. Further, T-Mobile will clear all the balances against the device, regardless of the cost.

Customers will be required to pay for the T-Mobile One plan and $15 each month for the T-Mobile Premium Device Protection Plus plan, which offers coverage against theft and accidental damages. This particular promotion is valid for customers of the iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, and the iPhone SE.

The promo officially begins on the 31st of May and Verizon customers can walk into a T-Mobile store starting next week to get the ball rolling. The payments against your existing device will be sent to the customers in the form of a prepaid MasterCard. The card will be sent in about 15-30 days after you switch to T-Mobile’s network.

This is a very attractive promotion by T-Mobile and goes to show that the carrier is willing to any lengths to bring over customers from a rival carrier. The two carriers have had famous tussles on social media platforms, with T-Mobile CEO, John Legere, going head to head with multiple executives of rival carriers. It will be interesting to see how Verizon responds to this new promotion.
