Yesterday, Apple officially unveiled its newest member of the iPad family: The 10.5-inch iPad Pro.
During the announcement, Apple also confirmed that, due to the tablet’s size, the Smart Keyboard accessory for the device would be a full-size keyboard, which was probably good news to anyone who tried out the slightly smaller Smart Keyboard for the 9.7-inch iPad Pro when that launched. But of course, while Apple has its own keyboard accessory, third parties will not be shy when introducing their own options.
One of those companies is Logitech, which has just announced its own brand new slim keyboard case for the 10.5-inch iPad Pro and the 12.9-inch iPad Pro. It’s officially called The Logitech Slim Combo, and, like some previous cases for the iPad Pro, it attaches to the body of the tablet and has a separate keyboard part.
In this case, the keyboard attaches to the iPad Pro via the Smart Connector along its edge. There is even a keyboard palm rest this time around, but that can be folded up underneath the keyboard itself if you are short on available space, and the keyboard folds up over the display to protect it while you’re moving around.
That keyboard is backlit, too, and the case itself has a stand on its back that can be positioned into several different angles.
The Slim Combo case for the 10.5-inch iPad Pro will cost you $129 (which is $30 cheaper than the Apple Smart Keyboard), while the case for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro will run you $149 ($20 cheaper than the Smart Keyboard equivalent). They are both available beginning today from Logitech’s website as well as Apple’s online and physical retail stores.
Do you plan on picking one of these up?
