Emojis have become so popular that they are slowly replacing the traditional text messages. With emojis, you can quickly and easily express your mood and feelings than if you were to do it in words. iOS comes with a dedicated keyboard built specifically to access over hundreds of Emojis. The keyboard is split into different categories with one section dedicated to viewing the recently used Emojis.
One of the features that I’ve been waiting for Apple to add to the Emoji keyboard is a ‘Favorites’ section that allows users to access their favorite Emojis, rather than swiping through hundreds of emojis to find the one they’re looking for. If you’re also waiting for such a feature, then you’ll be glad to find out about a new jailbreak tweak known as FavoriteEmojis.
Just as the name implies, this tweak allows you to add up to 30 of your favorite emojis to the Emoji keyboard. The tweak won’t add a new ‘Favorites’ section to the keyboard, but will rather use the ‘Frequently Used’ section. The emojis that you mark as your favorite will appear under the Frequently Used section of the Emoji keyboard.
After installing the tweak, you can get started by heading to its preferences pane in Settings. From there, you can enable or disable the tweak on demand and choose up to 30 of your favorite Emojis to be added to Frequently Used section of the Emoji keyboard.
Once you’re done making the changes, press the ‘Save Emoji List’ button and then tap on ‘Apply Changes’ to respring your device and save the changes.
Now go to an app where you can bring up the keyboard and switch to the Emoji keyboard. You’ll notice that your favorite emojis are now present in the Frequently Used section of the keyboard.
FavoriteEmojis is a very handy tweak for people who tend to use lots of emojis while chatting. With this tweak, you no longer have to scroll through a collection of emojis to find the one you’re looking for. Simply add your favorite emojis to the tweak so that you can quickly access them from the Frequently Used section of the Emoji keyboard.
While I wish that the tweak added a separate section to the Emoji keyboard for ‘Favorites’, the current design will suffice. If you’ve been looking for a way to add your favorite emojis to the Emoji keyboard then you should definitely try FavoriteEmojis tweak. It is available for $0.99 in Cydia’s BigBoss repo and supports iOS 10.
