Apple today sent out invites for its iPhone 8 event on September 12 at 10 am PT. The event will be held at the Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park — Apple’s new campus.
The event invite from Apple carries the “Let’s meet at our place” tag line which seems pretty apt considering the event will be held at Apple’s own auditorium this time.
The main highlight of Apple’s event is going to be the iPhone 8. The handset will feature an all-glass design with a metallic chassis. It will also feature a bezel-less front with a notch display design similar to the Essential Phone. Other specs of the handset include wireless charging, fast wired charging, A11 chip, 3GB RAM, a vertically placed dual-camera setup, and facial recognition.

Apart from the iPhone 8, Apple is also expected to unveil the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus at the event. The handsets will also feature a glass design, though their design language will be similar to that of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. They will also continue to make use of LCD panels like previous iPhones. While the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus are expected to lack facial recognition, they will at least feature wireless charging.
Besides the trio of new iPhones, Apple will also unveil a 4K capable Apple TV with HDR support at the event.
