Just recently we saw a dummy unit of the iPhone 8 crop up, showing off the “Copper Gold” color scheme, and now we’ve got a dummy unit of the iPhone 7s Plus to examine.
The video was published to YouTube by Danny Winget, and shows a dummy unit of the iPhone 7s Plus being compared to a dummy model of the iPhone 8. Winget even makes some time to share a comparison between the iPhone 7s Plus and the iPhone 7 Plus, just for good measure. We get to see the glass backing, with a silver/white color scheme, which would indeed line up with the previous rumors we’ve heard about the upcoming handset.
As for any key changes, it’s what we’ve come to expect based on the rumor mills. The iPhone 7s Plus will be largely similar to the iPhone 7 Plus that precedes it, but the materials will be different. The handset will have a glass back and front, according to the rumors. Meanwhile, the horizontal dual camera setup will make a return to this year’s iPhone 7s Plus, following right in line with the design of last year’s model.
We can see that the iPhone 8 will have a display that’s roughly the same size, if not a bit bigger, but the lack of bezels will make it stand out quite a bit, and give more real estate to the user. The iPhone 8 dummy unit in the video is also boasting that notch design we’ve seen so many times by now, including from the HomePod firmware that effectively confirmed the design for the upcoming flagship iPhone long before Apple gets around to officially announcing it.
While these dummy units may line up with the rumor mill, nothing is guaranteed just yet, and won’t be until Apple announces the iPhone 8, iPhone 7s, and iPhone 7s Plus. That announcement is expected to arrive sometime in early September.

Do you think you’ll buy the iPhone 7s Plus this year, instead of the iPhone 8?
