iPhone 8 Dummy Unit Hands on Gives Us a Close Look at the Final Product

With most details about the iPhone 8 leaking, plenty of dummy units of the handsets have been made available in the market. Many YouTubers have gone ahead and published their hands on video with these dummy units which give us a close look at how the iPhone 8 will look like in real life.

Featuring a glass panel at the rear with a dual vertical camera setup at the rear, the iPhone 8’s design is a refreshing change from the existing design language that Apple has been using since the iPhone 6. The front, in particular, looks pretty impressive thanks to the lack of bezels surrounding it and a notch display design.

Leaks have pointed to Apple launching the iPhone 8 in a new Copper Gold color, and YouTuber Danny Widget’s video shows him going hands on with a Copper Gold dummy unit. The dummy unit comes with a white front which does not suit the phone’s front at all.

And if the video did not satiate your iPhone 8 hunger, check out some high-resolution render of the handsets below from designer Quinton Theron.

Apple will be unveiling the iPhone 8 alongside the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus in September. The new premium iPhone model will feature an OLED display with a notch display design and a bezel-less front. It will make use of glass panels at the front and rear, with a metallic chassis sandwiched between it. The handset will come with Face ID —  a form of facial recognition that will also support third-party apps.

The vertically placed dual camera setup at the rear will feature 3D depth sensing capabilities that will allow Apple to offer path-breaking new AR features on the handset. Other specs of the iPhone 8 include wireless charging, fast wired charging, and improved waterproofing.
