Organize Your Notifications on the iPhone Lock Screen with Priority Hub 2 [Jailbreak Tweak]

priority hub 2 tweak review

In iOS 10, the Lock screen received several new changes, such as a new page for widgets, redesigned notifications, new unlocking method, and so on. But one of the areas that surely needs some work is the notifications list, which becomes very cluttered when you receive lots of notifications.

When you receive too many notifications, they pile up on your Lock screen, thereby making it difficult to keep track of important notifications. In some cases, you may even miss out on some important notifications. Priority Hub 2 is a jailbreak tweak that aims to solve this problem.

Priority Hub was one of the popular jailbreak tweaks back in the days of iOS 9. For those who aren’t familiar with the tweak, Priority Hub is an amazing tweak that organizes the notifications on your Lock screen by grouping them based on the app that they belong to. Upon installing the tweak, you’ll notice that your notifications start organizing themselves immediately.

An icon will appear at the top of your Lock screen for each app that there are notifications for, and a small number will appear next to the icons letting you know how many notifications there are for each app. By tapping on a particular app icon, you can view all the notifications that you’ve received for that app. Tap on its icon again and the notifications will hide.

By organizing your Lock screen notifications on a per-app basis, Priority Hub allows you to easily view the notifications that matter the most to you so that you won’t miss out on the important ones. The best part is that the tweak works with Notification Center as well, so you’ll have a better view of your notifications over there as well.

Priority Hub comes with a dedicated preferences pane in Settings where you’ll find the following configuration options:

  • Enable or disable the tweak on demand.
  • Send a test notification.
  • Align the icons at the top or the bottom of the screen.
  • Choose the size of the app icons.
  • Choose whether the notifications count should appear as a badge on the icon or below it.
  • Enable ‘Pull to Clear’ so that you can clear all notifications by swiping down on the screen.
  • Enable Privacy mode so that notifications hide as soon as they arrive. You’ll have to tap on its app icon to view the notification.
  • Adjust the position of the notifications on the screen.

Priority Hub is a must-have jailbreak tweak for users who receive lots of notifications and wish to have a better way of keeping track of them. It keeps your Lock screen and Notification Center free from clutter and allows you to have a better view of all the notifications that you’ve received. You can easily switch between notifications by tapping on an app icon. To clear all the notifications belonging to an app, simply pull down the notifications list and they’ll be cleared.

Priority Hub 2 is currently in beta and is a work-in-progress for iOS 10. During my test, the tweak worked perfectly just like its predecessor and didn’t have as many issues. The only problem is that the swipe down gesture for clearing notifications doesn’t work most of the times.

Priority Hub 2 is not available in any of the default Cydia repos. Instead, you’ll have to add the following source to Cydia: http://cydia.thomasfinch.me. Once added, search for the tweak in Cydia and install it for free. Keep in mind that it is currently flagged as a beta package so the tweak may contain bugs and issues.
