Earlier this year, Google released YouTube TV service is five U.S. cities before expanding it to 10 more markets last month. Now, Google is expanding its TV-like subscription service to 14 more cities in the US.
The new markets were YouTube TV service will now be available include Baltimore, Boston, Cincinnati, Columbus, Jacksonville, Las Vegas, Louisville, Memphis, Nashville, Pittsburgh, San Antonio, Seattle, Tampa, and West Palm Beach.
In addition to the above markets, Google is also working on expanding YouTube TV to Denver, Austin, Salt Lake City, San Diego, Kansas City, Birmingham, and other US cities in the “coming weeks.”
YouTube is able to expand its local coverage rapidly thanks to its partnership with Sinclair Broadcast Group. The partnership will allow content from Fox, NBC, and ABC to appear on YouTube TV, with Tennis Channel, My TV, and other CW affiliates coming to service soon as well.
YouTube TV service allows one to stream content including live TV from over 48 networks like ESPN, AMC, BCC America, Fox, NBC, ESPN, and more. YouTube TV membership costs $35 per month and lets up to six people use the account, with each getting their own recommendations and personal DVR with no storage limits. It also provides one with access to original YouTube Red programming.
