The Apple Watch Series 3 was officially announced yesterday, along with specific styles from companies like Nike and their Nike+ variants.
And while the Watch Series 3 officially goes up for pre-order on Friday, September 15, including the Nike+ variant, there is a bit of a delay between the two models and launch dates. Specifically, the standard Apple Watch Series 3 launches on September 22, but it looks like the Nike+ models will actually launch a little bit later on October 5.
It’s also worth noting that Apple says there will only be “limited availability” on that date, so it looks like the company is planning for stock to be a bit tight at launch, even with the pre-order window so far in advance.
Here’s the official word from Apple:
“Apple Watch Nike+ will be available to order on apple.com beginning Friday, September 15, with limited availability on Thursday, October 5 in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Guam, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Luxembourg, Macau, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, UAE, the UK and the US.”
The Nike+ models of the Apple Watch offer up a customized, Nike-themed look, both in the bands and in the software, which includes Nike-inspired watch faces. There is also a Nike+ Run Club iOS app, which can be launched directly from the Nike+ Apple Watch. There are four styles in general, and the Nike+ variant will also be available in 38mm and 42mm options.
So, just a head’s up if you were already planning on picking up a Nike+ variant of the Apple Watch Series 3.
Which model are you going with?
