WhatsApp today announced that it in the coming months it will be testing and providing businesses with tools that will make it easier for them to interact with their customers over the messaging platform. Many businesses in India are already using WhatsApp to keep in touch with their clients but due to the lack of proper tools, the process is quite cumbersome.
WhatsApp is aiming to make this process easier for businesses with its official tools. It will be providing businesses with a verified profile so that customers can be sure that the message they have received is authentic. A verified profile will have a green badge beside its name to help customers easily identify its authenticity. This program is currently being tested under a closed pilot program.
The Facebook-owned chat platform is also building and testing new tools through its free WhatsApp Business app to cater to small businesses. Additionally, it is also testing an enterprise solution for bigger companies like airlines, banks etc.
