Apple has shared two new videos on its YouTube channel today which highlight and guide iPhone 8 Plus users on how to use Portrait Lighting mode and Portrait Lighting effects on the handset.
Both videos are less than a minute long and to the point. They show how in just a few simple steps one can take Portrait photos on the iPhone 8 Plus and edit them to add Portrait Lighting effects. Apple offers five different Portrait Lighting modes on the iPhone 8 Plus which includes Natural Light, Studio Light, Contour Light, Stage Light, and Stage Light Mono.
While the iPhone 7 Plus from last year also featured Portrait mode, the iPhone 8 Plus further enhances the feature with the addition of Portrait Lighting mode. As shown in the video, the feature allows one to play around with the lighting effect of a Portrait photo before or after taking it.
Portrait mode is made possible with the addition of a dual-camera setup on the iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone which the smaller iPhone 8 lacks. Portrait Lighting mode will also be available on the upcoming iPhone X which goes up for pre-order later this week.
