Following the public launch of iOS 11, Apple turned to the next big update for the mobile operating system, quickly seeding the first developer beta of iOS 11.1.
Apple today seeded the fourth developer beta for iOS 11.1. This follows the public launch of iOS 11.0.3, a minor upgrade to the mobile operating system. As is par for the course with these types of seeds, registered developers can find the new software via Apple’s dedicated developers website. Once developers have the proper configuration profile on their device, they can also install the new software over-the-air.
As far as what is new in iOS 11.1, you can check to see the new features discovered in the previous beta right here. In addition to that, Apple has already confirmed that several different iOS 11 features would be available in a future update to the platform, so these beta seeds could be preparing the software for their arrival.
Those features include iCloud for Messages, Apple Pay Cash, which allows customers to quickly transfer money within iMessages, and Apple is also planning on rolling out new emoji characters in iOS 11 as well. Apple has also already confirmed that iOS 11.1 will welcome brand new emoji to the platform, which you can see right here.
At the time of publication, the fourth developer beta has not revealed anything new, but, if any discoveries are made, we will update this post accordingly, so stay tuned.
Apple has also released a public beta seed of iOS 11.1 weeks ago, so it’s likely that a new public seed of this latest pre-release version of the mobile OS will follow suit soon.
