Last year, Twelve South, a company that is popular among Apple fans for the accessories they launch, launched a candle that smelled like a new Mac.
That candle apparently sold quite well, because the company is back at it again, with a slight change to formula. The new accessory is the Inspire [mac candle N°2]. But instead of smelling like a new Mac, this candle is meant to inspire new ideas. According to Twelve South, its as a combination of lemon scent, tarragon, and notes of bergamot — “scent profiles that clear your mind of clutter and stimulate creativity.”
This new Inspire candle isn’t just about making a place smell great, or trying to stimulate great ideas, but also to help young people follow their dreams and get careers in STEM-related fields:
“This year, Inspire [mac candle N°2] is the gift that gives back! In an effort to promote Science and Technology, our candle sales will help us give a gift to FIRST – a wonderful charity whose innovative programs motivate young people to pursue education and career opportunities in STEM related fields. Now the perfect gift for the Apple fan is also a gift to the tech & science innovators of the future.”
The new Inspire [mac candle N°2] is available right now, and it is priced at $29.99. It comes with free shipping for orders placed in the United States. According to Twelve South, the Inspire has an overall burn time of around 60 to 70 hours, so it should last quite awhile.
So, who is going to buy Twelve South’s new candle?
