Earlier this week, it was discovered that a bug was causing some issues for iPhone X owners utilizing the touchscreen in cold weather.
Apple already confirmed that they were working on a fix for the issue, and, as it turns out, that fix is ready to go. Today, Apple officially released iOs 11.1.2, which primarily focuses on the aforementioned bug. Specifically, this update will address the issue that causes some iPhone X touchscreen to become momentarily unresponsive while in cold weather. Or, as put by Apple, “after a rapid temperature drop.”
In addition to that, iOS 11.1.2 also includes a fix for a bug that could cause “distortion in Live Photos and videos” that are recorded using an iPhone X.

The new software is available right now, so if you are someone who has suffered from this particular bug, you can download and install iOS 11.1.2 at your leisure. To update, you need to open the Settings app, open General and then Software Update and follow the onscreen instructions.
